About Salvage and Sawdust
Welcome to Salvage and Sawdust, where every piece of furniture tells a story. My name is Jason, and I’m passionate about creating unique, handcrafted furniture and home goods using reclaimed and upcycled wood.My Story
My journey into woodworking began as a way to work with physical materials, away from the digital world I’d been immersed in since 1999. After running an online media company for years, I found fulfillment in working with my hands and learning new skills. I developed a strategy of using my resources to buy tools and educate myself rather than paying others for projects. This approach allowed me to experiment and learn, leading to a passion for woodworking. At Salvage and Sawdust, I create pieces that are uniquely imperfect, reflecting my creative process and dedication to craftsmanship. I source wood from a variety of places, including pallets, discarded pieces near dumpsters, and items from Facebook Marketplace. My work often features multiple wood species, creating beautiful calico or patchwork patterns. Each piece is a reflection of my journey and a testament to the wood’s past life. The Mission
I believe in giving wood a second life, transforming discarded materials into something beautiful and functional. My pieces are not mass-produced; they are handcrafted with care and attention to detail. I take pride in my work and appreciate feedback from those who value originality and craftsmanship.Custom Orders???
While I aim to keep woodworking as a fulfilling hobby, I occasionally take custom orders. If you have a specific idea or need something unique, feel free to reach out. I’m always open to exploring new projects and bringing your vision to life.Stay Connected
